River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos

I attended the 2016 Amanda Watson workshop in Houston, Texas and I left with some amazing images! I am so excited to share these with you! I was able to capture the River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos by working with a team of incredible vendors set up by Amanda and led by Christina at Christina Leigh Events, I really believe they achieved a sense of surreal beauty within the preserved historical gardens in Houston, Texas.

The River Oaks Garden Club offers a unique piece of Texan history as a background for the bohemian, English-garden photoshoot. This setting for these River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos allowed for upscale and glamorous touches to complete a well-rounded aesthetic that fit lovingly within the garden backdrop. The sense of the photos is fun and magical, with an airy and bright feel to the life that the couple brings to the shots. The well-manicured and spectacular gardens gave us an amazing canvas to work from and built-in elements including the stunning water features and historical sculptures gave us a direction to work from that was natural and flowed easily.

The details from this River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos shoot are lovingly assembled and pull together a look and feel of drama, romance and whimsy that I love.

 

Most noticeably, the bride is absolutely stunning with a dramatic touch of makeup by Butter Artistry, the smokey eyes of the bride immediately draw you in and make you stay. Her swept-back hair with intentionally loose strands is lovely and fun, and sits perfectly with the bateau neckline of her stunning gown provided by BHLDN. Emanating sophistication and beauty, the bride is the reason that this photoshoot feels so wonderfully magical. Donned in accessories provided by Petals & Stones, the bride is glamorous and lovely; her dramatic teardrop earrings and floral hairpiece speak to the elegance and drama that we love so much about this venue and this couple. Her ring, a unique statement piece that reminisces of a family heirloom, was provided by Amulette Jewelry and offers inspiration for brides looking for a ring that is lovingly unique yet totally classic.

The groom, dressed in Nordstrom attire, works so well with the bride to create a romantic and serious atmosphere that adds to the sophisticated tone of the shoot without undermining the sense of magic and wonder. He believes she is the most beautiful thing in the world, and on this day, he is right.

The couples work together to create shots that emanate a sense of sophistication and love, choosing intimate poses that bring them together in a way that helps one to feel enraptured in the bond between them.

When you work with a beauty team that seeks to make you feel comfortable and beautiful, the results are incredible; a comfortable, content and happy bride makes for photos that reflect the peace that she feels on her special day. This is truly a magical touch to an amazing day.

The floral arrangement provided by Bramble & Bee fits so perfectly in the natural setting of azaleas that the River Oaks Garden Club offers. The bouquet is also dramatic and fun, with a selection of pink and orange colored florals and wisps of stunning greenery creating length and width to the arrangement. The long, perfectly lovely purple ribbon offered by Fleuropean hangs lovingly from the bouquet and adds to the length and dramatic effect that this arrangement offers.

The table arrangement, beautifully constructed by Christina Leigh Events and with elements provided by Posh Couture Rentals, finishes the English country garden setting of these River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos. A set of stunning wooden chairs provided by The Foundry are perfectly positioned against the historic brick backdrop. Using charger plates with a fringe reminiscent of lace, the setting is light and airy, finished delicately with a variety of royal blue tones in the dinnerware. Lined with gold, this dinnerware looks lovely alongside the matted gold flatware and confirms the sense of an upscale dinner while still holding true to the lovely and relaxing atmosphere that the venue offers.

The floral arrangement, seemingly dripping into the table setting, offers light and bright green hues that are unexpected amidst the deep greens in the garden setting of the Garden Club. The asymmetry of the centerpiece contributes to the sense of fun and whimsy without compromising the luxe feel of the venue and setting of these River Oaks Garden Club Styled Wedding Photos.

The shoot ended up being bright, airy, fun and magical and was made complete with vendors that understood the upscale and glamorous approach that this venue deserves.
