Oldfield Plantation Wedding Photos

The sun was beginning to set at the Oldfield Plantation as our wonderful models, Brittani and Ryan, arrived ready to begin this gorgeous styled shoot from the Jeremy Chou Workshop. Alysse and Tristan of Design Studio South had set the stage for an incredible Southern inspirational shoot and pulled together the incredible talents of some of the best wedding vendors Georgia and South Carolina has to offer.

Under an old willow tree, a table set for six waited patiently for the meal to be served by Thrive Catering and was donned with the floral stylings of Colonial House of Flowers. Ivory roses and leafy greens sat stunningly beside old ceramic candleholders and beeswax candles, creating a setting of opulence and romance any bride and groom could take inspiration from. The atmosphere was lush and lovely and the table setting was delicate and left to perfection.

The menu, promising a strawberry arugula and spiced pecan salad with goat cheese, followed by almond encrusted tilapia and finished with traditional wedding cake was completed by Every Little Letter Calligraphy in a stunning silver and white finish that brought out the accents of the table’s personal blue-grey runners presented to each guest. Cake Press Papier and Design offered a classically elegant stationary set that matched this setup beautifully and seashells with the name of each guest were provided as a personalized loving memento to a couple’s special day. The bride’s elegant up-do was given a modern touch with a loose braid, which complimented the off-the-shoulder whimsy designer Saint Isabel Bridal added to the silver gown. Her nude nail polish and natural style of makeup completed the look of classic elegance and was pulled together beautifully by the hair and makeup team of Bride’s Side Beauty.

The groom, wearing a classic blue tux with glossy brown dress shoes and an Ivy League haircut, emanated the look of a Southern gentleman. His bowtie, a must-have for any upscale classic wedding, matched the tone of his shirt and when the old fashioned luxury limo from AE Luxury Limo pulled in. It only made perfect sense for him to open the door wide for the bride to step in, making it easy for me to capture romantic couples photography. The limousine provided the perfect backdrop for classic and traditional couple’s photos, and was given an upscale finish with greenery and florals tied to the rear of the vehicle. The soft light of the setting sun created an atmosphere of romance and acted as the perfect location for a couple to spend some of their most intimate wedding day moments.

The chemistry between these two models was unmistakable as they cut the top layer of the four-tiered layered cake, lovingly prepared by Savannah’s Hall of Cakes and set out to create some stunning couples photography on the gorgeous grounds of the plantation. The River Club at the Oldfield Plantation is an amazing and popular location to get married and it’s no wonder why: amidst historical buildings, vintage details, the opulent decor, a stunning water fountain and lush grounds, the venue is an amazing choice for couples in the Southern United States to get married. It was a pleasure to be a part of this styled shoot and I would love to see you get married at the Oldfield Plantation in Okatie, South Carolina.
