Savannah Wedding Photographer | Jepson Center Wedding Inspiration
As many of you know by now, some of my absolute favorite types of shoots to do is a styled shoot, since I get to explore and be creative in a much more relaxed environment. I recently had the opportunity to work with the Jepson Center and Urban Poppy to create what may just be the most beautiful styled shoot yet. Filled with a true sense of tranquility, elegance, and naturalism, this shoot captured the essence of art in its most pure form, and brought together some of the finest vendors in the industry to show off their talent.

The Jepson Center is located right in the heart of Downtown Savannah, and is home to thousands of pieces of art from around the world. This stunning facility is just one of the locations featured in the Telfair Museums, and nothing short of pure genius. The pure white and marble interior was the perfect backdrop for such an ethereal session, and created a truly classic, yet contemporary setting for this shoot. Every shot was filled with tons of natural light, and the simple, clean architecture lent itself so nicely to the artistic style of our shoot.
With a styled shoot, it is so important to have just the right pair of models with great chemistry to keep the same romanticism and passion of a real wedding, and Andressa Eady and Tyler Mueller were the perfect fit. These two had such a beautiful and genuine chemistry, and naturally lit up the room in every shot. It’s hard to find models with such a natural flair and talent, but between the two of them, we couldn’t have picked better subjects. With the perfect blend of class, grace, and elegance, Andressa and Tyler were perfect for this shoot, and such a joy to work alongside.
This beautiful shoot could not have been done without the creative mind of Urban Poppy. Urban Poppy acted as our stylist and florist for this particular shoot, and their talents and expertise in the wedding industry really shined brightly. The calming botanical theme was carried through strongly in the bouquet and accents with soothing whites, deep shades of green, and pops of burgundy. Succulent accents were added throughout the shoot, and truly tied in the theme of calm and serenity.
For our blushing bride, she couldn’t have looked more stunning than she did in her Sweet Caroline 2-piece gown. Specializing in modern, unique separates for non-traditional brides, Sweet Caroline provided the perfect look for our botanical, relaxed session. The gown used in our shoot features her own custom fabric designs, and a near marble style detail on the skirt of the gown. The two piece look offers a classy and refined way of showing individuality and a slight hint of skin on the big day, and the unique pattern on the skirt adds a bit of interest to an otherwise ordinary style. The look was completed with stunning makeup by Mary Elaine, and a gorgeous Vera Wang ring.
Of course, we can’t forget about our dapper groom. Tyler’s look was a classic Ralph Lauren suit, with a simple striped tie and coordinating boutonniere to match the gorgeous bouquet. Keeping true to the theme, the hushed navy was the perfect tone to complement our bride and the floral arrangements just perfectly. Accents of brown leather tied the look together and showed the true definition of a classy wedding look.
Lastly, we come to my personal favorite part of the shoot: the wedding cake. Rum Runners truly outdid themselves with this breathtaking work of art. Whispy shades of blue-green flooded the exterior of the cake, floating up to the very top, where it was met by a beautiful “love” topper. Gold foil accents added a touch of glamour to the cake, and the white edible roses were so lifelike that you could hardly even dream of taking it apart. The roses are complemented by succulent greenery around it, and the whole cake really embodies the mood of this shoot.
Working with such talented vendors to create what you see here is one of the best parts of being an artist. I am truly blessed every time I get the opportunity to work in my craft and share my passion with other artists. This session was so special and beautiful, and gave me newfound inspiration to pull into my every day shoots.
