BEHIND THE BUSINESS
(Lead Photographer & Videographer)
I have spent the majority of my life traveling the world and I am a gypsy at heart. I’m a Photographer through and through but most of all, I am a procurer of wonderful things. I’m a unabashed people watcher and I specialize in capturing moments that only exist for a heart beat. I believe that photos are real magic…. and the camera is my wand.
I am in love with natural light. I want my images to be classy, modern and beautiful. I want them to tell a story. I am a native Savannahian and I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful city. I mean, it’s a photographers dream with endless beautiful backdrops! I have been photographing weddings for over 20 years and being part of one of the most important days of someone’s life is such a privilege. I love getting to know the couples I work with and capturing special natural moments between them. I’ve been happily married for 25 years and have three amazing kids.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Katie relocated to Savannah and has earned her BFA in Photography from the Savannah College of Art and Design, one of the country’s premier art schools. Katie’s hopes for the future is to work with fashion brands to create visually interesting content. You can often find her at one of her favorite spots on Tybee Island photographing her boyfriend surfing. Although she’s new to the wedding industry, she started as an assistant and has quickly worked her way up to being a second shooter. Her favorite thing about weddings is cake, so make sure yours is a delicious one! After a full fall wedding season 2017, Katie will be moving back to San Francisco to pursue her career and work remotely cuddled up with her cat, Pancakes.
