Tybee Island Wedding Chapel Photos
On June 19th, 2016, Cassie Brue and Dan Lapp exchanged vows and became husband and wife. Throughout my time of working with this couple, I grew to love and admire their sweet and compassionate love towards each other. From the moment we met, to the end of their Tybee Island wedding day, there was just something special about their chemistry, and the two of them as individuals. Getting the opportunity to share such a monumental day in their lives was something that I will never forget, and will cherish as I go on in life.
Cassie and Dan met back in college, but decided that they didn’t want to start anything serious at the time. They both attended Northern Illinois University, and while they didn’t necessarily want a label, the two were seemingly inseparable. After graduation, these two sweethearts decided to take the plunge and jump into a long distance relationship for two years between Illinois and Iowa. When Dan was transferred to Georgia, Cassie decided it was time to follow, and they were finally able to enjoy each other’s company in person with their little family (their two dogs, Bear and Roxy).
When it comes to their proposal story, I have to say, it was nothing short of extraordinary. Dan took Cassie to a picturesque snowy park and had her sit in the back, while someone else drove the car forward. She was given one rule, not to look ahead. As the car drove through the snow, friends and family members popped out, each in their own unique way, to give Cassie flowers and cards, and wish her well. This continued for a while, until the final stop, where Dan came out and took her by the hand. He led her over to a circle of friends and family, where he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She was absolutely overjoyed, and said yes immediately! Her friends and family then held out signs saying “She said yes!”, to create the most picture perfect moment.
As far as the actual wedding day goes, Cassie and Dan are ecstatic to have their perfect beach wedding at Tybee Island. Cassie is a beach girl at heart, so moving down south near the shore has always been a dream of hers. After a long search, they found the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel, and fell in love with its southern charm. They both longed to show everyone the beautiful seas of Tybee, and to experience the charm that the south has to offer. Their friends and family stayed at Ocean Front Cottage Rentals and Hotel Tybee. They were extremely thrilled to get to share the start of their new life with so many loved ones.
Cassie was the main planner for the wedding, but the big day would not have been complete without the help of their vendors. Tybee Island Wedding Chapel provided the perfect backdrop to their perfect Tybee Island wedding. As far as our blushing bride, her hair and makeup were so elegantly done by Heather Ferguson, which complemented the gorgeous dress from Wolsfelt’s Victorian Bridal and shoes from Blue by Betsey Johnson. The handsome groom and groomsmen suits were from Men’s Wearhouse, and the beautiful couple’s rings were provided by Stag Head Designs and Solomon’s Brothers. Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without the delicious food from Chef Nick Mueller, and the delectable wedding cake from Wicked Cakes. Island Sound serenaded the group with some wonderful tunes, and the glassware was brought to us by In Any Event.
For Cassie and Dan, their love story has had its ups and downs. Long distance is never easy, but these two show that hard work and sacrifices really pay off. In their own words, Dan constantly inspires Bianca to be a better person. His kind and intelligent personality help Bianca to find the good in everything, and always keeps her laughing, and she is always trying to do the same. Just from what I have seen between the two, I already know that there is something incredibly special between these two, and I wish them the best as they move forward into the next stage of their lives.
