Mackey House Wedding Photos
On April 1, 2016, I had the honor and privilege to be a part of Nathan Ghalili and Tina Scott’s big day. The day was nothing short of a wonderful celebration. From the pops of red, the cool greys, and the joyful smiles on each and every person’s face, it was a day I will never forget. This couple truly defined the word “fun” and their laughter and love for each other was contagious throughout the entire day. I had the chance to talk to Tina a bit before the wedding to find out a little more about her and Nathan’s relationship, and how their special day came to be.
In 2010, Tina Scott moved to Atlanta, Georgia and met a woman named Lisa at her new job. From the moment they met, all Lisa wanted was to set Tina up with a man named Nathan. She constantly pushed and begged to introduce the two, but Tina hated the idea of being set up, so she refused to meet him, for about two whole years! Time went on, and Lisa took a job in California in 2012. When the time finally came for her to go, she decided to host a going away dinner at a restaurant called Chops in Buckhead. Tina almost didn’t attend the dinner, but fate had other plans. After two years of putting it off, the two finally met, and it was an instant connection.
From the time that they met, the two were inseparable. The two love birds continued dating for a few years as their love for each other only grew more and more. As they grew closer and closer, they started adopting each other into their own traditions. Every year, Tina would go home to the New York/New Jersey area to visit her family and loved ones. But this year’s trip would be a bit different. As the two explored The Big Apple, (having lunch in little Italy, shopping in Chinatown, heading to Rockefeller Center, and more), Nathan decided that it was time that their relationship went to the next step. As they neared the infamous Rockefeller tree, Nathan got down on one knee and asked Tina the question he had been waiting to ask for what seemed like ages. Tina was absolutely speechless. The busy world of New York City seemed to stand still as the two were captured in the romance. As the light December drizzle surrounded the couple, Nathan had to repeat himself a few more times before Tina was finally able to say “Yes!”.
Throughout the wedding planning process, the couple was most excited that they would get to share their special day with all of their friends and family, especially in the same place at the same time. Since the two have family and friends stationed all over the country, Tina and Nathan knew that any location would require most people to travel, so why not pick somewhere fun? Southern charm and warmth were some of the key requirements in their wedding, and what better place than Savannah? Although Savannah has so many different options for venues, the couple chose the Mackey House, complete with gorgeous landscaping and overall a stunning property.
With the help of their wedding planner, Michelle with Improvisions, Tina and Nathan were able to create their perfect wedding celebration. All parties involved stayed at the Staybridge Suites and Holiday Inn hotels, and transported by Old Savannah Tours to celebrate the special day at the Mackey House. Our beautiful bride, Tina, was pampered head to toe with EyeDo Hair and Makeup, which complimented her stunning gown and shoes from David’s Bridal. Nathan also looked especially sharp in his handsome tuxedo from Men’s Warehouse. The wedding rings from Cumberland Diamond Exchange were absolutely radiant in the Savannah sun. After the ceremony was finished, the guests enjoyed a fabulous meal from Magnolia Grill, complete with an absolutely decadent wedding cake from Baker’s Pride. All around the venue, guests and loved ones alike were delighted to see the beautiful Savannah floral arrangements, which were put together by Michelle. After the cake had been cut, the entire group danced the night away with wonderful music by Dave Gibson.
As anyone can see, this couple definitely accomplished their goal of having a wedding full of southern charm. Whether it’s the stunning, full skirt gown, or the rustic details of brick and wood, or even the simple script lettering, this celebration was nothing short of eye-catching beauty and elegance. These Mackey House wedding photos truly showcase this stunning event! Having the whole family come together to celebrate the marriage of these two wonderful people was something I will never forget, and I’m sure anyone in attendance could see the love and joy that Tina and Nathan gave. To the happy couple, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day. I had a wonderful time getting to capture these moments with you, and more importantly, being inspired by your story and your love for one another. Take a look at these Mackey House wedding photos and reminisce on what was truly a magical day.
